ARE WE ALONE?

Like everybody else, I also used to wonder about are we alone, and if we are, how can we be, I mean this Universe is so vast and with its so many planets and billions of billions of stars, how could we be. Like seriously, this big of a place for such insignificant species like us, or are we insignificant, who knows.

And then there are many people out there who think that Area 51 actually exists. Me too actually, I have seen Hollywood Movies, and I doubt they are hiding some alien technologies. But then again why are the aliens not coming again, or attacking us to take our resources (like they show in movies, can't the aliens be good and friendly).


But who knows, there might be shape shifting aliens between us, your best friend, your teacher or even me, could be an alien, who knows. (Nah! not me though)

There is no possible evidence of alien life but the possibilities of them being out there is just huge. Thats what Physicist Enrico Fermi felt - 'Where is Everybody? Are We Alone?"

There are billions of stars in our own milky way galaxy, and billions of galaxies out there. Just think, there are about 10^22 to 10^24 stars. (And the possibilities are endless.). Thats why they say, for every grain of sand on every beach on Earth, there are 10,000 stars out there.

So considering that, there are 5% sun like stars who can support life, it ranges to about 500 quintillion (billion of billion). And pushing that probability to Earth like planets orbiting such stars gives 100 billion billion Earth-planets. And again considering the thought that only 1% of them developed life, and only 1% of that developed intelligent life, that gives 10 million billion planets supporting Intelligent Alien life.

And that same equation gives 100,000 Intelligent life supporting planets in our own galaxy. Also our sun is young and there are much older stars and planets, so that means life had been developed there millions of years before us, that means they would have more developed than us, considering what we accomplished with our time here. So where are they? Is there anybody? But we got no signals, nothing indicating that there is nobody.

And that my friends is THE FERMI PARADOX. Just think about it, and watch out for any alien invasions you might wake up to someday.

So, you are here again, welcome back.  Dinosaurs, eh! Well, what happened is a sad end. But not so sad for us, cause if they were still here, I would be a Tyrannosaurus writing this and you would be Allosaurus reading it. It goes as like this, about 66 million years ago, luck ran out of the predators , when an asteroid about the size of Manhattan (and Thats Huge!!) , made contact with our planet in the ocean (now known as gulf of Mexico) and started an extinction level event , that wiped out most living thing on the planet at that time.  There was so much energy that it vaporized life in just one day.

Our Little Blue Planet

Our Earth is probably the only planet in the universe that sustains life as far as we know. But this fact is strongly denied by the Fermi Paradox which I will tell you about in my later blogs.  So, our Earth has all the perfect conditions for sustaining life. Like the Atmosphere, Ozone, Water, but you already know that. Your are not here for that. But do you know how it came to be, it all began over billions of years ago, when among the millions of meteors and asteroids kept passing by our then known sun, and gravity did its part when those masses fell in the orbit of our sun. these masses collided among themselves, gravity's to be blamed , and formed a bigger mass, and due to continuous collisions of asteroids with it, it was hot very hot. There began the Early Earth.
